What is Moosefest?
Moosefest (moos-fest): is the accumulation of all the whitewater events into one last adrenaline filled weekend in Old Forge, NY! It involves parties, great eats, vendors galore, boat companies with free schwag, the girl you met in the eddie this summer, live music, great end of season deals...
and some of the best Whitewater the Northeast has to offer!
Can you boat the Moose?
That is the best part! There is a section of great Whitewater for every level of paddler. If you are a complete novice the Middle Moose is incredible. Wanna improve your boating? The III-IV Lower is pristine. Or play with the big dogs and drop off the Bottom.
PLUS! All the drops are scoutable and portagable. Most have sneaks for those whom just got a pounding in some ugly hole.
What if there is to much water?
Not to worry. There are well over 20 creeks, rivers and play holes within an hours drive of Old Forge.
